The students in my second grade classroom come from a wide range of backgrounds which is one of the reasons I love teaching at my school. The different cultures allow us to learn from one another and give us a chance to explore the similarities and differences around the world. Many languages are spoken in my classroom and the sense of community and kindness brings us together as we learn new things. There is no better place to teach as the students truly appreciate everything.
We all learn differently and like to sit in different areas when we are doing different activities. Because not all children learn best by siting in a traditional desk, I like to provide other options of seating for my students. Studies also show that giving children choices in where to sit maximizes learning.
This adjustable table would give another options of a place for my children to sit when doing activities and group work.
This allow more opportunities for children to work together in a new spot which often sparks more creativity. I will be making low cushioned seats from crates.
