My students are curious and active learners. They enjoy flexibility in their seating arrangements and enjoy quiet, peaceful spaces to enjoy great books and complete their work.

Many times you will find my students sharing their ideas, discussing how to problem solve and learning how to communicate with each other. They enjoy finding their own comfy spots around the classroom and settling into their work. Our classroom library serves as a common space that they all enjoy in a variety of ways. Students enjoy finding the "just the right" book and "just the right" reading spot for themselves, which helps them grow as readers and learners.
Finding that perfect book that you can't put down is a true gift for readers of all ages, and I hope to provide the spaces needed for my students to lose themselves in a good book.
My Project
Students today are more on the go and require more flexibility in where they sit when they learn. Having different seating options will allow my students to comfortably find a spot to read while they lose themselves in a favorite new book!
With access to flexible seating options, students will grow as readers and improve their ability to focus on their learning.
They will really enjoy reading while sitting on their new comfy floor seats and comfortable stools. The new seating will give them many opportunities to read and discuss a book independently, as well as with peers. Students will be more engaged in the process of reading and listening to each other if they have access to these flexible seating options.
