My students need 6 wobble chairs for flexible seating options to feel empowered by having a form of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating will allow for collaboration, comfort, and a sense of community.

My Students

My students are creative, fully engaged, and hands-on learners. They come to school each day with a bright smile on their face and ready to learn. I incorporate a variety of learning options such as flexible seating, group work, and projects to ensure each student's needs are met.

My class is taught to collaborate with one another and to learn from each other.

Our school is located in the suburbs in a large city in West Virginia. Our school is known for their community support and involvement. The child-centered curriculum focuses on a wide variety of technology, problem based learning, and critical thinking skills.

My Project

My students come to school full of smiles and ready to learn. Research shows that allowing students to sit in comfortable seating options greatly enhances their focus. With this project fully funded, I would be able to offer different seating options to meet the needs of my students. It will help prevent problem behaviors that decrease student attention. The wobble chairs will be used during book studies, small group instruction, and independent learning.

Every student learns differently.

Offering students flexible seating will increase focus, enhance collaboration, and increase participation that caters to all learning styles. Teaching these skills early on will impact their future.
