I’ve been teaching for 4 years as a special education teacher in the Green Bay School District in Wisconsin - I will be moving to a new school district this year! This will be my first year (so I haven’t met my lovely kiddos yet - but I have read their IEPs in depth), in Appleton. I do know my students in the past have GREATLY benefited from flexible seating in the past and I have personally seen it work miracles with others.
Flexible seating is a GREAT way to enhance student learning and POSITIVELY influence student behavior as well. I’m hoping to purchase a few different options for my students (small rockers, accordion stools, bounce chairs, wobble stools, etc.) in the coming years. I’m always looking for more ways to make sure that the environment in my classroom helps students to feel loved, safe, comfortable, and at ease. Flexible seating has been wonderful for my students in the past 4 years. Eventually, I would like to be able to purchase more flexible seating so that my students can have the option in multiple classrooms that they visit. My students and I thank you so much for your love and support!
