My Students

They are a hard-working and dedicated bunch of children. They are so patient with me and with each other. I have built an amazingly positive community that they have fully embraced. They come from an area with low incomes and struggles. Most don’t have basic needs met at home and I would like to make school a magical place for them. I want to give them the world. My goals are to make more flexible seating and organization for them! I also want to organize their daily items in a way that they don't need a desk for storage​ because they just throw things in there. I want a way to organize tools they will use for math and reading like number lines and reading tools.

My Project

Giving my children seating options that are welcoming and flexible is very important to me! Being confined to a hard seat and desk all day isn't fun for anyone, even adults. They will love having the option.

Last year I started to introduce some flexible seating and the children flourished!

This year I am trying to add even more to where I no longer need conventional seats and chairs. Giving them this option gives them the ability to make the choice of where they want to work so they can do their very best. When they feel comfortable it gives them all the confidence in the world and they transform into happy learners!
