Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class consists of some energetic kindergarteners, who are eager to learn. Each of these students has a very loving and caring personality. As I prepare for my students to return back to the classroom, there are some guidelines we must follow to ensure a safe return. Our school is a Title I school located in the rural Black Belt. One hundred percent of the students receive free lunch. Being in the Black Belt, my students are faced with limited resources. Despite the many obstacles faced by my students, they continue to work hard. In fact, they are extremely excited to be returning to school.

My Project

I would love the opportunity to provide my students with individual desks. These desks will allow my students to have flexible seating options throughout the classroom that will aid them in classroom learning. This will help to provide them with a safe learning environment!

Individual desks will allow students to learn from various areas of the room while also being within CDC social distancing guidelines.

The individual desks will also provide adequate storage space for supplies! Please help me give my students a variety of seating options for student learning.
