My Students

My students are hardworking junior high kids. Learning at school does not always come easy for them. Many of them struggle with reading, writing, and math. They do not make excuses for the skills they lack, instead, they work hard and ask for help when they need it.

My students come to school every day ready to learn and work hard in order to do their best.

They are very curious about the world around them and how all things work. Many of them dream of going on to college and continuing their post-secondary education.

My Project

My students are full of energy and often struggle with sitting in a traditional desk. Many of my students will benefit from having the opportunity to use the standing desk instead. This will allow my students to stand without distracting their peers. In addition, the standing desk will allow for more collaboration between my students when they are having small group discussions. The stand-up desk will allow them to collaborate more easily. Also, having the fidget chair will allow my students to have a choice about where they sit.

The donations for this project will give my students choice about where they sit and learn.

My students being comfortable and engaged in the classroom is vitally important to their success.
