We are a very active classroom in central Kansas. Our school serves a diverse student population. We serve PreK-5th grades. My classroom is comprised of special needs students, general education students, and English language learners. My students are inquisitive learners that need flexible seating options that can positively impact their life!
We live in a fabulous, supportive community that takes ownership and pride in their schools.
Our classrooms should be set up to meet the needs of all students, but funding in regards to class size can be an issue.
My Project
My classroom is very flexible in nature, but my students need a few more options to enhance their learning! Flexible seating options give students the ability to learn as comfortably as possible. In addition a flexible environment provides students with the option to collaborate with each other and keep their bodies engaged.
Students feel highly empowered by having direct ownership over their learning environment.
Flexible seating allows students to choose where and how they work. Furthermore, these options also allow students to change their location and positions as needed. Students have the ability to take their learning on the go!
