As a teacher in an amazing school, where the atmosphere is conducive for student learning and creates opportunities to build positive student-teacher relationships, I look for innovative ideas that will help create a growth mindsetbuild inquiry skills.
Working with children that display learning disabilities, the need for continuous growth as an educator is always prevalent.
Despite their academic challenges, the willingness to grow and learn outweighs any deficits they seem to possess as learners.
They are creative, outgoing, and enthusiastic about learning. The students enjoy reading and participating in student-led activities. They enjoy moving, brain breaks, and using manipulatives for hands-on experiences. They enjoy working in an inclusive setting where they can build relationships with regular ed peers, and not feel inadequate. I have set an atmosphere of positive thinking within my classroom, and each student has learned to believe in themselves with determination and perseverance.
I am truly proud to teach an amazing group of students and look forward to providing one of the best school years for my students.
I seek for my students to be trailblazers for their generation and create innovative ideas that will lead to world-class success.
This year we have focused on a flexible seating atmosphere that helps each student foster their individualized educational experience through collaboration, movement, and strategic thinking & planning. We have dfiscovered that allowing children to choose where they want to sit helps manage the classroom and increased student participation. Children seemed to be more engaged with flexible seating. The bouncing ball seats will help increase metabolism, exercise, and allow students to fidget, spin, or turn to rid off unwanted energy to help remain focus on assignments. One of the major barriers is the ability too remain on task inwhich the bouncing ball seats will soon help us overtime.
