My Students

My students range in abilities and backgrounds. Many students have social emotional needs and require movement and breaks. My students are active learners who do well in an environment that allows for movement breaks and collaboration.

My students thrive with hands on exploration.

They feel as if they are working for a hip 21st century company. They are inspired and excited about learning when it consists more of than just paper and pencil tasks. I truly believe your environment has an effect on your mood, emotions, and creativity!

My Project

Flexible seating gives students the option to control their physical environments in which they work best. In other words, with choices, students gain greater flexibility and control of their surroundings giving them the autonomy and comfort to stay engaged and focused. This leads to increased student engagement which is linked to higher motivation and academic performance, as well as improved overall behavior.

Flexible seating also opens the space for increased collaboration among students.

Team work allows for more creativity and classroom discussions since students can easily work in pairs or small groups.
