My students need a space where they can feel safe and comfortable to learn in. Supplying my students with wobble chairs, and balance ball seats are a few ways I will help with that.
I am a first year teacher. I am excited to be working in a small rural district. My students are special because they are so caring. They are happy with a simple used book that's been donated! They come from a small rural setting with not much around. As students from the 21st century, they enhance their learning through technology very well. They are eager to use any new types of technology and are not afraid to try something new. Integrating technology is the newest way of teaching and I plan to use it daily. Our classroom has 23 wonderful, smart, and energetic students. With your help, I plan to help find students' strengths and help build on that with the use of tools and resources out there.
My Project
These materials like bean bags, wobble chairs, and lower seating Chairs, will help my students feel like their classroom is safe yet fun and engaging. I want my students to feel like this is a home to them and they are comfortable with their learning style. If they want to stand to do work then I want them to be able to stand while doing work. If they want to bounce, then bounce. Funding this project will help my first year of teaching go more smoother because my students will feel safe, and comfortable with different flexible seating options. Flexible seating will help my students be actively engaged in work.
