My students need new and unique flexible seating options, such as Wobble, Surf, and Scoop chairs, for our classroom. These types of items allow students to move and feel more relaxed which creates more productive workers.
I have had the blessing of teaching over 200 students over the past 15 years in the same classroom, in the same school district that I went to school.
This school has some of the closest knit students not only with each other but also with the teachers here.
I try my best to get to know each student and their individual needs as a learner. This includes offering students choices in their education, having strong parental support, and adapting my professional development to learn how to best teach my students.
I love my students and I enjoy being able to watch them as they grow throughout their entire education in our small school setting.
My Project
I am trying to get as many different seating options for the students in my classroom. Some are more comfortable on the floor, some at desks moving their feet around, while others like to stand and work.
The students and myself have selected these items very carefully.
We can't wait to get some new seats for our classroom!
The stools will be used at our reading table during small group instruction. The scoop chairs and surf chairs will be used during independent working times. The Wobble seats and kick bands can be used at desks throughout the day. Thanks for helping us out with your donation!
