This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderfully diverse bunch of kids. They are high energy and love to learn. Every day, they come to school with positive attitudes and an enthusiasm that takes my breath away.

This year's group of students has a breathless zeal for life.

From the first moment they walked into my classroom, they had bright smiles on their faces and an eagerness that filled our space. Many of the students love to sing as well. When they are drawing, they are either making up songs or singing songs they have learned. They love rocking out to Go Noodle and learning about how to have a growth mindset. There is nothing this group of future leaders cannot do.

My Project

I am trying to expand my flexible seating options for my class. I currently have four floor seats but no table for students to sit at to use them. If you donate to my project, my students will have the option of doing their work at a low table, sitting comfortably at a seating option they have chosen.

Students need the ability to choose the way to learn that works best for them.

Sitting at a desk all day with limited movement is not the way to go. Having options for students to choose a way to work comfortably will help stimulate them and allow them the flexibility of choice. I want them to have the power to find a way to learn that keeps them engaged and happy.
