Flexible Seating Options and Work Spaces for THRIVE
Help me give my students the ability to work from wherever they are most confident in the classroom! With rolling whiteboards, rolling work tables and whiteboard computer lap desks, they will be able to work without interruptions!
Our school is an Alternative Program that serves at-risk high school students otherwise at risk of dropping out. Our students come to us for a wide variety of reasons including challenges with anxiety or depression, poverty and homelessness, abuse and neglect, teen parenthood, and academic challenges. No matter the reason for attending our school, they are looking for an individualized, non-traditional environment where we will Teach Healing, Resilience, Independence, Values, and Empathy.
Our school is a school with a homelike atmosphere that provides not only a pathway to graduation but also group and individual therapy, community services opportunities, career planning, and transitional supports for post-secondary planning as a home-like space to learn life skills such as food preparation, budgeting, hygiene, and home maintenance.
We are a family here, and we take our name seriously, doing all we can to help students to truly THRIVE not only in school but in life, relationships, and in their future goals. It has been truly special to see the way our students rise to the challenge and access the supports they need in order to create the lives they want to lead!
My Project
At THRIVE, students hope to find a comfortable yet effective study space where they can set aside all of the other things on their mind. Our students come to us because they were unable to find success in a traditional classroom. As a result, they need a variety of work spaces and seating options to increase their productivity and confidence while they work both independently and in small group settings. With these items, both teachers and students will have the ability to be mobile with their work spaces, allowing them to grow in their study habits while identifying what works best for them.
