Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are an energetic and eager group of kids. They love to learn and often are sad to go home. They have trouble sitting still and would benefit from something that could keep them seated but moving at the same time. These students love receiving new things as many of them do not get that often due to their environment. I would love to be able to give my students the ability to fidget while still learning and enjoying school.

My Project

These balance balls will help my students stay focused and in their seat with the option to lightly (I’m hoping) bounce up and down in their own personal space. I am pleased to have been funded the hokki stools already, but I want to have options for my students since all students are different. The balance balls will also help children to improve their posture which helps to improve handwriting as well. I would love for my students to be able to focus on my lessons and activities instead of trying to be up constantly to fill their need to move around.
