My Students

Almost half of my students speak another language in their homes. They represent many different countries and cultures. Together, our classroom shares stories and experiences as diverse as the children themselves. Their learning potential and curiosity are amazing. As distinct individuals they all learn best in different and varied ways. My goal is to teach acceptance and tolerance to my students and help them to appreciate our diversity and celebrate each individual in our class.

I want to give this diverse group of learners the most engaging and positive kindergarten experience that I can.

My Project

This project will help me to convert my classroom into one with flexible seating options for my students. These various options for seating will allow my students to choose seats to fit their individual needs and learning style. The go anywhere seats I requested are able to be moved about the room. They can be used with clipboards, lapdesks, low tables, or without a writing surface at all.

Donating to this project will help young students have flexibility and movement while they work to boost their focus and concentration.

These seating options will allow my students to choose their learning positions that best fit their learning styles.
