Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My CPS third grade students come from diverse backgrounds melting into a unique classroom that exudes compassion, respect, empathy, and love. My children are made up of a mixture of different learning abilities, but they strive to succeed just like every child should be given the opportunity to do so. Every college and career student (especially those less fortunate) should have an equal opportunity to become successful.

My children are made up of a mixture of different learning abilities, but they strive to succeed just like every child should be given the opportunity to do so. Every college and career student (especially those less fortunate) should have an equal opportunity to become successful. Imagine walking into a coffee shop and see many individuals relaxed, happy, and focused. Some of these individuals are seated in lounge chairs, others at a table, some are even seating on bar stools. These individuals come here because it is a place where they can be zoned in. Now how could we transform that in a classroom? How can I make my students more focused in their work?
These wobbly stools will make a world of a difference in my student learning because it will create a safe, relaxing haven for a variety of learners.
It will create opportunities for students to become engaged in meaningful learning. It will create excitement for students to join cooperating learning groups and make instruction more student-based.
Research states that flexible seating can increase motivation and engagement. Who wouldn't want that in their classroom?
