Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a classrooms of between 8 and 12 students that cannot be in general education for a variety of different reasons, ranging from health needs to learning difficulties.
Every student can, and will, learn when you find the best way to teach them!
We have a wonderful group of kids, and we have a great time in our classes, doing things our own way. Many of our student's have high sensory issues, and need consistency and routine throughout their day.
My Project
Many students with special needs do not have the ability to sit still for long periods of time. With the added option of flexible seating my students have the option to pick how they move, while still staying at their desk or the small group table.
When the students can move, they can focus, which increases the amount of learning that takes place in the class.
Balance Ball chairs let kids bounce and move, without having to stop the learning, while the wobble chairs will swivel and twist!
Stools can be moved around to different stations, or stacked out of the way.
