My students love to sing and dance and participate in my music class. They come in everyday eager to get started and ready to learn.
I want my students to continue their music education after elementary school.
Therefore, I try to teach them basic music skills, while keeping them engaged and having fun at the same time. If they aren't having fun now, they will not want to be involved in band, chorus, or orchestra in the future. I want to instill my love and passion for music in my students!
My Project
As an elementary music teacher, my class sizes and needs change every 45 minutes--when a new class walks in. The options that flexible seating will give my students will make the transitions between grade levels smoother. It was also give my students more space and options during class.
Wobble stools and balance balls will be the perfect addition to my classroom.
They will allow children the freedom to move while listening to music. They will also give the opportunity to move things around in the classroom in order to dance, sing, or work in groups. Flexible seating will give my students a chance to sit comfortably so they can focus and create during their music time with me.
