My Students

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Morrison and I am a Speech-Pathologist at our elementary school. I currently work with students ages 3 through 10 and LOVE what I do. I work with a variety of students with speech and language delays. Some may have no speech at all, while others may only be working on their articulation skills. Many of my students also have disabilities such as Autism and ADHD. I would love to be able to incorporate flexible seating into my classroom as a way to increase the amount of movement while each student is in speech. Many of the teachers in my school already use flexible seating, so I would love for that option to be available in speech as well!

My Project

Flexible seating will enable the students in my room to make more progress on their goals - which will help them in their daily lives! Giving them an outlet and a chance for movement is so important and should be carried over into speech if possible.

Being able to move will help my students remain focused, therefore making more progress when in my class.

Progress in speech will carry over to the general education setting, benefitting the student in so many ways.
