My students need Wobble Chairs, Balance Ball Seats, Stadium Seats, plastic stack stools, and lap desks for flexible seating options that will help them enhance their learning.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to learn. My students walk into my classroom eager and excited for what the day will hold. My kiddos are nontraditional learners living in a traditional learning environment. Many struggle being squirmy, fidgety, attention, or having trouble focus. I want to create learning environment that will make them feel safe and comfortable while they learn.
My goal is to transform my classroom that will allow my kiddos to learn in a rigorous classroom setting.
It is encouraging as a teacher to have students willing to learn. I am hoping to create an engaging and fun learning environment, to meet the needs of all my students!
My Project
There's a lot of talk about flexible seating and how it can be used in a classroom. First graders are little people in constant motion and with short attention spans. Asking them to sit in one spot all day is next to impossible. I would like to request Wobble chairs, lap desks, Flex-seat Balance Ball Seats, plastic stools so that I can maximize learning in a safe learning environment. By having alternative seating in the classroom students are free to make a choice of which seating arrangement is best for their learning.
My goal to give them a choice that will help them to learn how to make appropriate choices that will make them more successful in the classroom.
Flexible seating will not only allow my students to work comfortably, I also feel like it will help reduce the amount of behavior problems.
If funded, my students will engage with these seats on a daily basis, and we will see their academic performance improve as well. The requested materials will be an amazing contribution to our classroom and its environment and my students and I will be beyond grateful for it as well.
