My Students

Our school is a Title I school located outside of the city of Trenton. The student population is culturally diverse. The school offers families small class sizes that ensure children receive individualized attention. The curriculum challenges students' abilities while actively engaging them in the learning process.

Currently, our lively first graders are utilizing chairs at their desks, reading table and computer table.

Some of the more energetic students could use choices when it comes to seating. Flexible seating is needed.

My Project

These flexible seating options will allow my active first graders to stay focused on the task at hand. The seats are lightweight, which allow them to be moved to any area in the classroom where they are needed. Students can work quietly and independently on any task throughout the day, whether it's during reading group, at computer center or at their desk.

These chairs will make a difference for the students with extra energy.

Students will be able to make a choice about which seat is best for them. They will be empowered to complete work because they'll be more focused!
