Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are located in a high poverty area in NC. I love the excitement they have when they come into my CTE lab. Many students have special educational needs both diagnosed and undiagnosed. The students love using computers and the different technology devices available on campus.

Career and Technical Education is vital to my students making real-world connections to their core classes.

I have the ability to reinforce and provide visual connections to my students to help them be successful learners.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. Currently, I have students that struggle to stay seated and focused. The new Fidgeteez, and Balance Balls will help keep my kids engaged without distracting others. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to move while working and a task to assist them with remaining focused during lessons. I have seen flexible seating in action and would love to make this an option for my students.
