Flexible Seating Helps Keep Young Minds More Alert And Focused.
My students need flexible seating to allow them to have a comfortable working environment. Some students need to have flexibility to move around while they are sitting. Other kids may need to sit on something soft.
My students are simply amazing! They run to the gate to greet me every morning as soon as I step out of my car. Then they help me with my books, materials, bags, and papers. Their enthusiasm definitely encourages me to try new and fun things to help them learn. They are the awesome 3rd graders of this amazing school called Mesa Robles. I feel very blessed to be their teacher this year! Best of all they really love to learn.
My Project
I want students to be alert, comfortable, and ready to learn everyday in the classroom. Flexible seating allows them to move as they wish, which increases oxygen flow to the brain. In turn this helps keep young minds more alert and focused. Students also feel empowered when they have choices on where and how they can sit. They feel ownership over their choice and feel comfortable. When they are comfortable, they can learn more effectively in school. These different seating choices allows my students to select different seating positions throughout the day, week, and school year. Comfortable seats equals happy kids!
