Flexible Seating : Giving Students The Choice In Their Workspace
My students need to be able to have different ways to access their learning. These flexible seating options will allow students to move anywhere in the room and access their learning, their way.
I have an upcoming class of about 20 energetic and excited 4th graders. Our school is located in Arvada Colorado. All of my students come from diverse backgrounds and have different ways they learn best. By providing my students these different learning spaces, I allow them the opportunity to explore how they learn best.
Having a flexible seating option for my students allows them to choose a place to learn that works best for them.
I am excited to provide my students the opportunity to explore, collaborate, and learn together.
My Project
When students have a choice in where they work, their engagement improves tremendously. Their motivation skyrockets when they are able to find a space that works best for them.
All students learn differently and have different kinesthetic needs.
With these requested items, wobble cushions, inflatable seat, and lap desks will give students the opportunity to try each different choice, and choose the option that works best for them. I believe that when students have the choice in where they work, they are able to focus, stay motivated and feel more comfortable.
I am hoping to start off the year with these flexible seating options for my 4th graders.
