My second grade classroom is transforming from a traditional classroom of instruction to a technology-infused classroom of collaboration and exploration.
At my school, students have a passion for learning, contributing to their school community, and solving real world problems.
All of our school's students are eager to learn and have great potential. That is not to say that our school is without its challenges; our students deserve to learn skills that they can apply in their technology-rich futures and careers. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age-appropriate technology helps our students become better learners and gives them the foundations for a tech-infused future.
My Project
My kids need book bins to organize their materials in our flexible seating classrooms. My students are frequently moving to learn throughout our classroom. In our flexible space, students supplies need to be easily accessible. These bins will help my students to easily store their books, and learning materials for english, math, science, social studies and more. With the use of book bins, students can easily find a "focus" space where they will be able to best learn the material. With book bins, students will also be able to collaborate and communicate with their peers. Without the restriction of being confined to desks, book bins free students to work with one another.
