My students need flexible seating options in the form of stools, balance balls, floor seats, wobble seats, and wobble cushions during independent and group work activities.
My students are active learners who need a variety of seating choices during independent and small-group work times. I want to foster a love of learning for my incoming third graders. They will be able to use these materials to find comfortable places in our classroom to read, complete independent work, and write. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and we have a population of English Language Learners. Donating to my project will make a comfortable learning environment for these students.
My Project
I want my students to have a choice of seating during independent and small-group work times. Having a choice of seating will make my classroom a more comfortable learning environment. I am asking for stools, balance balls, floor seats, wobble seats, and wobble cushions. During centers and writer’s workshop students will be able to choose one of these seating options, or stay in their own seat. This will allow students to use seating that feels comfortable for them while they complete center work and write creatively. The donations for my project will fund these seating options to help make my classroom a more comfortable and productive learning environment!
