Help me give my students 6 Gaiam Classic and Kids Balance Ball Chairs to provide alternative, flexible classroom seating that allows my students to remain active while completing their tasks.
My students are unique in each and every way! I teach a wide range of students with multiple disabilities in the 6th through 8th grades. Each student is able to use their unique strengths and abilities to learn and practice a variety of academic, behavioral, communication, social, and transition skills. We work together to increase our functional skills in reading, writing, and math, and support each other in becoming as independent as possible within our school and community.
My Project
Flexible seating stability ball chairs will provide my students with an alternative to the traditional classroom chair that will allow them to access the sensory movement they need. This ultimately helps to calm and engage students in completing tasks and activities successfully throughout the day. With these comfy chairs, students will have the ability to choose where in the classroom they would like to work. They are lightweight and have wheels so that they can easily be moved from one workspace to the next. Giving my students choice in their learning, including seating and workspace, provides them with independence and pride in their learning!
