I am preparing for my Kindergarten classroom next year. Kindergarten students are so energetic and have a love of learning! I cannot wait to start next year with a classroom full of Kinders. We will have a fun year full of learning, creating, and exploring.
I want my classroom to be a place that inspires choice and learning each and every day.
Because of this, I have decided to move forward with Flexible Seating. I want my students to be comfortable in their learning and choose how they want to learn each and every day.
My Project
The furniture and materials in this project will provide the classroom environment that students need. Each set of materials has a specific purpose to the students' learning. The stools will be used during small group and technology time. The wobble cushions will provide a space for students who prefer to sit all day. The rugs will give students the chance to lay on the floor and relax. The couch will make students feel like they are at home as they work. These items, among the others, have a purpose to include all students in learning and target their individual learning styles.
My classroom is not to be viewed as the traditional classroom.
It will be viewed as a comfortable, exciting place that instills learning. Please help this dream come true for me and my students.
