For example, if a student drops their things, a slew of others will come to their aid, or if a teacher is carrying more than they can handle, there is always someone willing to lend a helping hand.
Our students also have tremendous drive to face adversity.
A lot of our students have unique struggles and it has been amazing to see them come together each time to help each other be successful. Whether it's a learning disability, family problems, or social struggles, our kiddos rely on each other to be successful and work together to be successful as a group.
The best thing about our campus is the love of learning. Our students get excited about new books, apps, and classroom furnishings. I use my own money to purchase classroom books and each time the books come in, my students cheer as though they have unearthed new treasures.
Our school is truly a wonderful place filled with some of the best students in the world. I feel truly blessed to be a small piece of their educational puzzle.
My Project
I have always loved flexible seating in my classroom. It provides students the opportunity to be comfortable so they can focus on what they are learning.
As a 4th grade ELA teacher, I have found that it is imperative for students to be comfortable in the classroom before they can get comfortable with learning to write essays.
Also, in my classroom, we do a lot of partner work and work around the room, so this seating would be perfect!
They are great because they don't roll around like regular exercise balls do, and they are quiet unlike the yoga bands on chairs that I have tried.
