My Students

I am so fortunate to teach third grade again this year! The year has only just begun and I am excited to build our positive learning community. Our classroom theme is "Let the Adventure Begin!"

We are a Title I school with a very diverse group of students.

Our students have a wide range of learning styles and I am continuing to build a classroom to help students develop a positive growth mindset and confidence in their ability to succeed.

My Project

The flexible seating options will allow my students to take charge of their learning and make seating choices that work best for their needs. During independent work, my students will be able to choose an area in the classroom that will help them work best.

Currently, my students are able to work around the room, but have limited options to choose from.

With a larger rug and multiple lap desks it will allow my students to have more options and will allow them to have more room while working. In addition, a large rug will allow me to engage my students in meaningful number talks and allowing for our morning meeting to run more smoothly.

I have seen that my students are more engaged in their work and less disruptive when given a choice where they are able to work and want to give all my students options to be successful.
