My Students

My classroom is located at a Title I school in the W.C. School District. I teach self-contained preschool to young students with special needs.

My class includes 25 children with developmental delays or disabilities.

I strive to provide appropriate curriculum and support, with the goal of each child being prepared to succeed in kindergarten.

My students are active and motivated to explore new opportunities and materials. School is a place where they feel safe and accepted, allowing them to gain new skills and develop a love of learning.

My Project

This project will offer 2 additional seating choices in our STEM and library centers. The students in my class thrive when given choice and flexible seating has helped with engagement and learning since introducing flexible seating into my classroom last year. These flex space floor seats will provide a choice in seating and increase engagement in our STEM and Library centers.

It is my goal to increase engagement in our STEM and Library areas due to the high content learning that occurs around science, math and literacy.

It is my goal for all of my students to have a love of learning, especially in STEM and literacy.
