Hello! I am a teacher of about 25-28 wonderful, full of life second graders. Each year, my students have found a way to bring so much joy and laughter into my life. I love watching them learn a new concept or understand a new standard. They are wonders who make teaching the best job in the world. I know my students would find so much success in having the option for flexible seating in our classroom!
My Project
Having these options such as wobble chairs, balance balls, and lap desks for my students would be beneficial as the students would get a chance to let out some extra energy and to find ways that learning may be best for them. Each year, I have watched students sit at their desk while fidgeting with their pencil. Students need the chance to control their own learning in the environment that is best for them. I have seen first hand that students attend more in my classroom when giving them the option to sit in areas they wish to. With different seating options in the class, the students can sit, wobble, stand, or bounce in a way that helps them be the most successful!
