I'm patiently awaiting the start of the new school year with my new 27 fourth graders. This is my first year at a new school and I can't wait to meet my new "kids". My students will be coming from a variety of backgrounds. Some of these students may have our school is their only "safe place".
These students deserve to have an amazing education and learning environment.
It's my dream to be able to provide this amazing opportunity for them.
My Project
These resources will be a valuable tool in our classroom. I would like to provide a variety of types of seating in our classroom so every student can feel comfortable during learning.
Not every student learns best sitting in a traditional chair/desk.
Some students may prefer to be sitting on a desk chair that they can move around or adjust to a certain height. Some students may require more movement and the "cushions" will allow movement without distracting from their learning. The students will also need access to our classroom library, so the shelving unit will be a tremendous asset. For other students that may require movement, yoga balls and stools will allow students to meet their needs. Bean bag chairs and a rug will provide a comfortable work space.
