My students need flexible furniture to help flex their writing muscles. Sturdy stools and computer desk stands will help them to work creatively, collaborate, and practice good habits for college and career!

My Students

My students attend a diverse high school in the San Francisco Bay Area where they focus on college preparation and readiness for their future careers! 9th grade students are co-taught, diverse learners and are provided with extra support to improve reading, writing, listening and speaking skills!

My 12th grade students sign up for Senior Composition to have the chance to better their writing in a variety of genres while gearing up for both college and career.

Together, we make a Workshop space for all students to try out new genres of writing and hear their own voices come to life on the page!

My Project

Students are more engaged when they have freedom of choice, and my students need to choose how and in what setting they work! Providing new furniture is a small step towards increasing engagement with the writing process.

During Writer's Workshop, students will be able to move as freely as their ideas!

Computer desk stands and (school-themed) bar stools will provide a unique experience for our class' budding writers.

By offering a variety of furniture and space for my students to occupy while they write, students will better learn about their own writing habits, needs and skills. Leaving behind our normal desks will allow us to free our minds and be adventurous creators!
