This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to give my students flexible seating options in the classroom! I currently have a few lap trays and scoop chairs. I only have 10 total options but when my students get the chance to use them they feel important. I think having flexible seating gives them an opportunity to take control of their learning and chose options that fit their needs. These students are the first group of kids that were impacted by COVID-19 in kindergarten. They have endured a wide variety of changes and many spent a lot of time learning online. I have noticed that these students need to move and get their wiggles out! I truly believe flexible seating will help my students feel successful!
