Our school prides itself in our motto being like CARY- collaborative, achieving, respectful, year round leaders. My students thrive in a collaborative environment. We are located in Cary, North Carolina, however my students live in the surrounding cities of Morrisville, Cary, and Raleigh.
These children come from all different backgrounds and cultures creating an amazing diverse environment.
These kids truly enjoy learning and love to create. We love to work around the room and in groups-21st century learning at it's best!
My Project
My classroom is filled with collaboration and I'd love to allow my students to choose from various methods of flexible seating options. This would allow to get away from their desks and collaborate with their classmates anywhere in the classroom or even the hallway.
Our students need to be able to move around, stand, and work in groups.
My class has a lot of energy and I want to embrace that energy turning it into workable energy. Instead of the old classroom of sitting in desks and working individually, I want my class to look like a meeting space where groups of children are sharing thoughts, ideas, and being 21st century learners.
