Help me give my students an opportunity to have flexible seating. My students LOVE the chance to sit in a "comfy" spot around the room so that they can get out of their regular chair and be comfortable.
All of my students have something unique to offer our classroom community. We all have different personalities and learning styles that make our classroom special. My students have a lot of energy. They love spending time with one another in the classroom.
They are becoming stronger mathematicians, authors, readers, scientists, and historians.
They encourage one another and are proud of one another when they succeed. Their love of learning inspires me on a daily basis. Our classroom is a place where my students can feel safe, valued, and loved.
My Project
I have A LOT of energy in my classroom this year. I have a few spots around my room where they can escape to. We call these "comfy spots". I want to bring these "comfy spots" to their seats so they can be comfy all day long. I believe that these balance balls, wobble chairs, and comfy seats will make a HUGE difference in my students' ability to complete their work during the school day by being able to wiggle, wobble, and bounce.
There isn't one student in my room that wouldn't benefit from having this type of seating.
Instead of trying to make them stop moving and wiggling, I want to encourage it! I want them to be happy and comfortable in our classroom.
