Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing kids from all over the world! These kiddos come from many different countries and speak a total of 8 different languages! One thing they all have in common is they like to move. Throughout the day we do many activities that get our bodies moving but we’re looking for a way to fidget, squirm, and dance all while learning and completing activities!
I have 24 kids in my current classroom who all qualify for free lunch.
These sweet souls come to school day in and day out, oftentimes have experienced some sort of trauma, food lacking in the household, bug bites, and unkempt dirty clothing. Nevertheless they persevere and succeed.
These sweet and innocent kids have experienced so much in their young lives and they have hearts of gold. My heart is so full of love because of them. They bring such joy to my life!
My Project
I am asking for donors to help provide my amazing class with flexible seating options. These items will make a difference during my kiddo's school day because they get to choose what they would like to sit on while they are actively engaged during whole group time, small group time and area time. Flexible seats will help keep them focused, engaged, and will help get some of their never ending energy out!
I would like to obtain enough seats for all my students to use not only during table time but area time, especially the reading area.
These fun and exciting flexible seating choices will assist them in staying alert, focused, and on task. Our current chairs are old, dirty, and many are missing screws. I appreciate you taking the time to read my request!
