My Students

My students are talented, hardworking learners with challenges ranging from attention deficit to specific learning difficulties. These attention and learning challenges make it difficult for them to learn like their peers.

My students come to me with the hope of growing academically despite their challenges.

They try their best and want to learn. The students work both on computer and small group interventions in my lab. My school is a Title I school with a majority of the students being from low income families.

My Project

The chair bands will help my students stay focused on learning while they are able to fulfill their need for movement. The floor seating will give my students an opportunity to be comfortable as they are learning in a unique environment.

Students will be more interested in learning when their minds are engaged and they are comfortable in their learning environment.

By providing the students access to use flexible seating, we give them the opportunity to better focus on learning. The flexible seating options will give my students a chance to concentrate on instruction, while allowing their needs for movement and comfort.
