Help me give my students flexible seating options! I am asking for six Space Balance Ball Seats for my Kindergarten students. These seats will allow my students to move and balance, reducing restlessness and improving focus while learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a Title I, NYC DOE school in Queens, NY. My students are almost all English Language Learners from all different backgrounds and cultures. I love working with such a diverse group of students! Their diversity and native languages help teach the importance of acceptance. I love to reference my student's diversity throughout all lessons I teach. Part of the diversity in my classroom are the different types of learners. Not only do I have ENL students in my classroom, but I also have students with disabilities.
My special education students love learning but, often require different methods and modifications to support their learning.
Differentiated learning and seating are crucial in my classroom to achieve successful learning for all of my students!
My Project
Flexible seating is such an effective tool to implement in a Kindergarten classroom, especially a classroom that has students with disabilities. As a fourth year Kindergarten teacher, I know how hard it is for a five year old to sit still and complete their work. I've even had some students fall out of their chair during writing workshop! These Flex- Space Balance Ball Seats would be such an amazing addition to my classroom.
These inflatable, flex-space ball seats allow my students to move and balance reducing restlessness and improving focus while they learn!
These seats would motivate my students to complete tasks in the classroom and definitely increase engagement as well! Some students require a break from sitting criss- cross on the carpet or sitting still at their desk. These chairs will allow my students to focus on the lesson and their tasks while being able to release their energy.
These chairs are light enough for Kindergarteners to move themselves which would allow them to choose where they would like to work in the classroom. Giving students a choice to pick where they work allows them to find a space where they are comfortable with no anxiety. These seats just provide a more engaging way for the students to learn!
