In my classroom, I teach 24 wonderful 3rd-grade students. In our grade we rotate classrooms; therefore, I also get to see about 40 other 3rd grade students 4 times a week for Michigan history. My students have a wide range of interests, talents, and vary greatly in their learning styles. My students are hardworking, kind, creative, and love to learn new things!
My goal for my students is to create an atmosphere of independent learning and problem solving which molds 21st-century learners.
In my classroom, I use varied learning approaches, hands-on/interactive learning, and technology. My students love to be challenged and learn in new innovative ways!
My Project
Having flexible seating in my classroom will allow more students to be successful while learning. Have you ever sat in a chair way too long and just needed to move? I know I have! Wobble stools will be used throughout the day for various purposes. First, they will be used at the small group table to help students focus while learning during small group reading and math. Secondly, students will be able to move them about the room to allow for flexible seating while working in the classroom. Wobble Cushions will help with concentration while working both at their seats and when working around the room. I know my students will be so excited to use their new seating, and I will be excited to see them wobble as they work!
