Flexible Seating for Independent Reading

Help me give my students a warm and safe classroom environment. My students love to read independently and want to be able to have the option of flexible seating via bean bag chairs or area rug.

My Project

My students read independently each day for the first ten minutes of class because independent reading has been proven to enhance comprehension for students and help them develop their vocabulary. Also, silent independent reading can improve fluency and test performance by assisting students with their reading stamina.

In order to fully enjoy independent reading, I want students to have the option to read in the class reading nook.

This is meant to be a cozy place where they can get lost in their book. Reading in a comfortable environment adds to student enjoyment and will help them to have positive feelings about reading. I have two areas in my classroom that could be turned into reading nooks. I want to place rugs, a lamp, and bean bags, in these areas to excite students and add to their eagerness concerning reading.

Any donation you give will help me to create a positive classroom environment and encourage students to invest in reading every day.
