My students need a variety of flexible seating options, such as a storage bench, wobble chairs and lap desks, for different learning styles to optimize their learning!
I have the pleasure of teaching 6 and 7 year olds. I love seeing their eyes full of wonder and joy when they are learning new things! My students are first graders who are constantly on a path towards knowledge.
My students inspire me to be the best teacher that I can be!
They are part of a small, quiet, rural public elementary school, and deserve to have the best education that we can give them. Together we fill our classroom with laughs, kindness, and empathy.
My First graders are always asking questions and never have an off button when it comes to working hard and learning. They love science, and reading books the most!
My Project
Last year, I tried adding different height leveled tables to the classroom and the students just loved them. They got to chose to work standing up, at a table or sitting on the floor. This year, I want to offer more flexible seating: benches for sharing while at the listening center, tumble chairs for the student who needs a little more movement, and portable desk stools to find a quiet place to work with a writing surface.
Students don’t all learn the same way, and they don’t sit the same way!
I’m hoping that each student finds the best learning spot that will help them focus on their learning!
