My Project

I teach 6th grade Social Studies. In the past few years, I have been testing flexible seating with my students. I currently have just small amount of different chairs, so the students must take turns. I have found that when students have various styles of seats available, they can choose a seat that helps them better focus. This allows them to perform better than when using standard desk chairs. As a former behavioral interventionalist, I have observed that students work harder and have a higher learning experience when they have a variety of seating options. These students are amazing kids.
