I have 18 wonderful students who are fun, loving, and full of energy. They love to be up and moving and working on hands on activities that strengthen and stretch their brains. In our classroom we are constantly working on challenges that make them think and problem solve!
My students love to have the responsibility of choosing their own seats everyday.
All of my students learn in different ways, some like to lay on the ground, or stand, and still others need a more comfortable chair (teachers chair) to finish their work. When they find "their" comfortable position they are always hard at work.
My students while full of energy put in the effort to try their hardest. We are constantly moving from place to place to work in small groups, partner groups and whole group activities at their desks and around the room. My students are always wanting new strategies and alternative learning activities to further their learning. I am beyond blessed to have each of these students in my classroom to teach and also to learn from! They give me energy and teach me more new things everyday.
My Project
These seating options are are a good way for students to choose the best learning environment for them to focus. The stabilities balls will help students focus while working at the back table for reading and math groups. These will allow students to have a little extra wiggle room while still learning. All of these seating options will be used around through room throughout the day. The bean bags will be used in out reading library for a comfortable place to relax with a good book. Other supplies, such as the lab tables will allow those students who like to sit on the floor a sturdy surface to work on. Other seating options like, the wobble chairs will allow those students who struggle to sit for a period of time to be able to move around.
All students learn in different way, so providing them different options will allow them a better learning environment.
Each day students will be able to choose a different seat that works for them. This is the beauty of flexible seating and a friendly classroom learning environment for all students.
