My Project

After two years of constraints within our classroom following Covid guidance, we can finally start using flexible seating and groups. I really want the students to feel comfortable in the classroom. One way to do this is to allow them to sit and work in a manner that is most comfortable for them. Some students want to stand, some want to sit on the floor, some need to have a way to wiggle while they work. The traditional desk and chair of a typical classroom do not allow for this.

My DonorsChoose project would kickstart my classroom to meeting students' needs by allowing flexible seating and making it easier to spread out on the floor and do group work.

The seating option I have included would allow groups work on the floor with the clipboards. It would allow students who want to read to do so more comfortably with the floor chairs. It would allow a student who is having a hard time working at their desk the option of working somewhere else in the room with the flexible desk and floor chair.

All of the items would help students feel more comfortable in the classroom and help meet their learning needs. As a After two years of Covid, it is time to get back to the best classroom environment possible. Thank you for support my idea and my students.
