My Students

They like to learn, but love to move! My students are intergrated into the general education classes but have such a difficult time sitting still. With flexible seating, their focus can change from moving and shifting to learning and participating! Many of my students are diagnosed with ADHD, ADD or other specific learning disabilities. They love to be active and sitting in the classroom can be a challenge to them. Help us to shift their focus and help keep distractions away!

My Project

My students love flexible seating to help them shift their focus from fidgeting to thriving with their learning! Many of my students struggle to sit still or to remain in class because they require breaks to keep their attention in tune. When they can focus their participation is incredible! However, they can become a distraction to both themselves and their peers.

With flexible seating (bean bag chairs, alertseats and balance bagel) we can help those students who are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD to remain in the classroom and not feel embarrassed because of the frequent breaks they need.

While my classroom currently has minimal flexible seating, I would love to be able to provided flexible seating to all my students and not just two at a time!
