My students are eager to learn and excited about the work that they do, putting their best foot forward. They cheer each others' successes and care for the well-being of others both in and out of class.
These 4th and 5th graders are future world-changers.
They come from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds. They think critically and express their thoughts with evidence, they respectfully disagree if they see fit, and they treat others with true care and kindness towards one another.
My Project
I'd like to provide my students with more seating choices and opportunity since current research shows that this improves focus and mood and overall outcome in the classroom.
Currently we have 2 butterfly chairs and that is the most popular spot to be in to read, write, and do work in general.
I often see students sharing the spot with others which makes me realize that we need more options and opportunity for a more comfortable learning environment.
I'm hoping to be able to add a variety of options and rearrange the classroom into an inviting and enticing place to learn.
