My Students

Most of the students we teach come from families where English is not their first language and they have been identified as a special education student in reading, writing, math, or a combination of the three. Many of our students are also identified as having a physical disability or attention problems. By the time they get to fifth grade, many of the students hate school, because it has been frustrating or boring for them.

I teach at a Title I school where 97% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

My students are at an intermediate school, which serves students fourth to eighth grade. Many of them are eager to learn and do their best.

My Project

Our students will greatly benefit from having various seating options in the classroom. Their constant need for movement can be met with these different seating tools. The traditional tables and chairs no longer meet the needs of our current day students.

Not only will flexible seating encourage learning independence, it will also allow students to take ownership of their learning style and decisions.

These are two very important, yet difficult to reach, aspects needed in a childs' education.

These simple tools can greatly benefit my students' school success now, and in the future. My students, their families and I truly thank-you for any donation and help that you provide for our classroom!
